Julian Lennon Signs the Lisbon Declaration at the GLEX Global Explorers Summit

Musician, photographer and environmental advocate Julian Lennon attended the GLEX Global Explorers Summit in Lisbon in July 2019, where he was a signatory to the Lisbon Declaration, a global commitment to raise awareness of conservation efforts on Earth and in outer space, signed by explorers, artists and scientists from around the world.

Son of John Lennon and long-standing supporter of environmental causes, Julian also signed copies of his latest children’s book on how to preserve the Earth, a project he launched through his White Feather Foundation, the environmental and humanitarian charity he created in 2007. The GLEX Summit brought together astronauts, ocean explorers, filmmakers and climate advocates in one of Lisbon’s landmark venues, and Lennon’s presence as both artist and activist gave the Lisbon Declaration an important cultural dimension.
